In some cases, you need to apply application with theory. Most teachers that I have encountered always ask me for this lab because they are not sure what microscope lab will be most efficient to introduce or conclude their unit. In most cases, they are always lagging with what to do regarding microscope labs and are tired of using the basic standard labs from the 1980’s. This lab is a combination of multiple real life skills that helps students learn the basic funcitons and parts of the microscope. This lab can be used for grades 7-12 depending on the situation and scenario.
This lab also includes practicing using a live specimen and making a wet-mounted slide covering all areas of required standards and life skills. Its all included in this contained lab and is cosmetically appealing to both students and administrators.
