LO: to examine language within a speech in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. Act 3, sc 2, Helena rebukes Demetrius and Lysander who she believes are playing a cruel trick on her. A one sheet lesson that can be photocopied and handed out for students to work through on their own. Tasks include identifying language techniques and answering questions about the text content and techniques. There is an extension exercise about creating their own additional lines for the speech.
