This is for the new Migration Empires and People GCSE unit by AQA, and focuses on the Vikings.
This lesson begins with a 'what is a viking' task, then follows with a summary task of information on the board. There is then a hidden picture task focussing on Lindisfarne (as the exam board suggest). There is then a video link about Lindisfarne followed by a Q and A task (handout link included).
Pupils can then look at an interactive map of Viking settlement and invasion before completing a Bingo Plenary.
