Mini descriptive SOL New Spec Language Paper 2 writing

A mini SOL which engages students initially through using objects to develop descriptions which include extended personification. The SOL builds up to students producing an extended piece of writing based on images related to Nelson Mandela and his prison cell. Tasks are differentiated throughout. Links to the new spec English Language Paper 1 exam where students produce a description based on an image. Fantastic opportunity to develop SMSC e.g. watch Nelson Mandela DVD and incorporate to add authenticity to descriptive responses and to integrate S&L.
