In this activity, you will work on your inference skills. You will get access to 20 interactive scenarios.

*Inference: Guessing what is not said using clues from the text. For example, the story shows she is sad, so you know she is feeling down. You guess what is not said by using clues and what you already know.

You will read short stories and use drag and drop to answer questions. This will help you find hidden meanings.

*Scenario: A short story that tells about something that could happen. For example, a scenario could be about someone finding a lost dog.

*Implicit: Not said directly, but suggested or understood. For example, if someone yawns, it is implicit that they are tired.

Read each scenario carefully. Look for clues about what is happening. Think about what you already know. Put the clues together to make inferences.

Instructions:

  1. Read the passage carefully.
  2. Visualise what is happening.
  3. Fill in the table, using drag and drop to add missing details.
  4. Rewrite the passage using your ideas.
  5. Draw a picture or storyboard.
