Minibeasts Maths Measuring Worksheets x 2

This minibeasts measuring activity can be used in continuous provision alongside minibeast‑themed picture books such as Superworm. An exploration of shape, space and measure using a variety of units (e.g. cubes).

This activity supports:

• EYFS Mathematics - ‘Have a deep understanding of number to 10.’
• EYFS Understanding the World- ‘Know some similarities and differences between the natural world around them’
• KS1 Mathematics - ‘Measure and begin to record lengths.’

This activity also develops observational skills and physical development fine motor practice through the act of taking careful measurements, and making comparisons between the length of different minibeasts.
