Summary of passage

Mother Teresa, born Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu, dedicated her life to helping others. She became a nun at the age of 18 and traveled to India to teach at a school in Calcutta. While teaching, she noticed the poverty and sickness that plagued many people in the area. In 1948, she started the Missionaries of Charity, where she and her sisters provided food, medicine, and shelter to the poor and sick. Mother Teresa believed that every person deserved love and respect. Her kindness and selflessness inspired people from all over the world. She received numerous awards, including the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979. Mother Teresa passed away in 1997, but her legacy lives on through the continued work of the Missionaries of Charity. She taught us that even small acts of kindness can make a difference and that love and compassion can change the world.
