Name Game Ball Toss

Break the ice and help students learn each other’s names with this fun, active PE warm-up. Students stand in a circle and gently toss a ball to a classmate while saying their own name. The catcher repeats the thrower’s name, says their own name, and then tosses the ball to someone new. As confidence grows, add more balls or challenge students to remember everyone’s names. This activity promotes communication, listening skills, teamwork, and helps build a positive class community from day one.
