KS2 Science PowerPoint Lesson and worksheets
This is the second lesson in a series of Year 3 Science lessons on Plants. Corresponds to the Year 3 Science statutory requirements: explore the requirements of plants for life and growth (air, light, water, nutrients from soil, and room to grow) and how they vary from plant to plant.

In this lesson, students will discuss the 7 living processes of all the living things (Mrs Gren); explain possible reasons for wilting in plants; predict and further explore the main things all plants need to live and grow; set up their own investigation on monitoring the growth of a radish plant under different conditions; answer follow-up questions. Activity worksheet on needs of a plant and an investigation sheet are both included (.pdf format) . The list of materials to set up an investigation is included in the PowerPoint.
