Network topologies

Recognize basic network topologies - answers on a separate sheet

Students have to

• know characteristics of network topologies,
• be able to find corresponding picture,
• know the names of network topologies.

Here is how it works:

1. A student gets a text description of network topology
2. Has to find this topology on a picture - so they can have a look at them all and have to understand how descriptions correspond to pictures
3. Each picture has a number which points to where the answer for the hint should be put
4. Picture for hybrid topology is missing, but it can be worked out where ‘hybrid’ fits as it is the only one left after filling all other solutions
