In this IGCSE English Lanaguage B 9-1 PDf we will be discussing review writing more precisely the lanaguage used in reviews.

The non-fiction text being discussed, “From a Review of Star Wars: Episode VII” By Mark Kermode In The Guardian.

A table is presented where certain information regarding positive comments towards the director/screenplay, the audience’s reaction and the acting has to completed by pupils, to see if they understood the activity.

~ For this section, model answers are displayed.

Moving on, two exam-based questions are portrayed:

  1. Can you explain two aspects of the film the narrator finds engaging?

  2. How does the writer build up or communicate his positive sentiments about the film?

~ Again, sample answers are also on display for each of the above questions.

Pages:5

NOTE: These succinct pages have been compiled by a student who achieved a Grade 9 in her IGCSE English exams, so undoubtedly this work is top quality!

We hope to be able to provide further fun, colourful, clear and comprehendible PDFs for you in the future.
