NEW OCR Biology A 5.2.4 Kidney Structure

A detailed and eye catching presentation on the structure of the kidneys.

This includes a flip-learning quiz as a starter, an introduction to the function of the kidneys, details of the structure of the kidneys including the blood supply and the nephron, and many diagrams that can be printed out as labelling activities.

This was taught with a kidney dissection which can be done as PAG style activity. It also has a link to a very catchy song on the structure of the nephron as a plenary activity.

I have also attached a nephron labelling peer assessment that can be done following this lesson to check pupils' understanding.
