This lessons shows students how to compare poems in the conflict and power cluster, for the new specification (Eng Lit Paper 2). The stater images can be blown up onto A3 and stuck up around the room or used individually as it is currently (they represent themes to explore different links rather than simply relating to the poems themselves.
This lesson also contains an A3 grid to guide students through how to compare two poems and provides them with a top level response and references to the mark scheme from the PPT, which guides you through the lesson. It is aimed at top set students but can be adapted for other ability groups.
