NZ high frequency sight words game – ‘The Race into Space’.

A fun and engaging game that encourages the practise of sight words.

2 gameboards for each colour from Magenta to Orange.

Equipment needed: dice, counters, gameboard.
Number of players: best played with 2.

Aim of the game – roll the dice, read the word aloud and move your counter up the row of words towards ‘space’ (the stars). The first person to get all of their counters (rockets) up to the stars is the winner.

Included:
♦ Coloured gameboards
♦ Black and White gameboards
♦ Blank template (black and white gameboard)
♦ Instructions / notes

Words are written using the NZ Basic Script Font.

Gameboards are coloured according to the group of words. The black and white gameboards have the colour word written in the bottom left corner.

High frequency words align to the NZ reading colour wheel:
♦ magenta (25 words)
♦ red (28 words)
♦ yellow (31 words)
♦ blue (37 words)
♦ green (49 words)
♦ orange (63 words)
