Happy holidays if you have saved a holiday planning. If you want to email me any links to your Egypt resources or the resources I can upload them in the next series 3.
A few of these are not my own but I have left the author in the author properties... Can't remember where collected from so can't reference on all of them.
Week 4 covering all the work covered so far with plenty of opportunity to apply and use in writing sentences. You do not need any resources. I developed this as I was doing cover and being swapped groups and as soon as had all resources for one phase, ended up needing to make another. So.... all you need are the notebook or Promethian depending on your software, whiteboards and pens - you don't have to take resources not knowing what phase you will be covering as a supply or cover supervisor/leader covering classes.
You can buy all the weeks in a pack, saving you money too. I'm a teacher with 25 years experience including as SEN advisor and Academic Vice Principal, judged consistently outstanding. All this has almost exhausted me so I'm sharing my resources to save you all the time and effort... and to help me retire at some point before 67 :) Happy Sunday Fellow Teachers.
Everything you need to walk into a phase 4 phonics session week 3 (two syllabic words) and review of week 2 with tricky words. All activities only need white boards and white board pens. Part of my series of presentations for phase 4 which can be purchased as a pack or just weekly if you are already half way through. I am developing these resources as I go.
These are ideal for supply teachers or teachers who hate cutting and laminating. There are a nice balance of different activities each day/week and the principles of sound, word and sentence and then text is used to ensure progression. Pupils are both expected to read and write the sounds/words to ensure progression. Enjoy your Sunday.
Thanks - if you are happy with the time saved please leave me a lovely review:)
These ‘Library Challenge’ cards were made for my class library, but they could be used in a school library as well. The idea was just to get the children excited about reading and properly engaged with the books, and they’ve really enjoyed working through the activities – an added bonus being that I use this work to decorate the walls of our library.
There’s a selection of 10 Library Challenge Cards, plus a ‘Library Challenge of the Week’ which just allows for changing things up a little without having to print and laminate more cards.
22 comprehension style worksheets (1 per book) that I have made based on the Rigby Star Guided Reading books. The children can complete them after or during guided reading. I will add more as I make them.
Books I have covered are:
Rollercoaster, Elvis and the Space Junk, Always Elephant, Clever Chick, The Gizmo's party, The Ice-cream Factory, The Woman Who Fooled the Fairies, Mantu the Elephant, The Monster is Coming, The Gizmo's trip, The Picky Prince, Count on Your Body, Quork attack, Headfirst into the Porride, The Singing Giant, Josie and the puppy, The Ambulance Service, The Perfect Pizza, Rabbit's Surprise Birthday, Peanuts, The King of the Birds and The Cherokee Little People.
