This resource is aimed at KS4 students and is useful as it covers the following learning objectives...

Identify the forces that are acting on a book that is lying on a table.

Describe Newton's 3rd law in words.

Explain that if an object, A, exerts a force on another object, b, then A exerts a force F on b, and b exerts a force of -F on A.

Apply your understanding of Newton's 3rd law to explain what will happen when a skateboarder jumps off his skateboard.

Link your understanding of Newton's 3rd law to explain why recoil is felt through a paint ball gun when it is fired.

There are differentiation opportunities for lower and higher ability students (check the green challenge questions). I have also included feedback boxes, in which you should put students names to keep individuals engaged and ready to learn and feedback.
