Nice starter activity on equivalent perimeters. Followed by a starting point for a mini investigation - I tried this with a small foundation group and I encouraged pupils to try their own extensions (one fairly low ability lad came up to me with a look of glee having discovered 'square numbers' from his own investigation. When I asked him why he thought they were called 'square numbers', realisation dawned - 'they all make squares!' he was chuffed with himself) Now that's what teaching is about.
