Odd and Even Numbers, Multiple, Fair Games

Erik chooses dominoes with an odd number of spots, whilst Sanjay chooses those with an even number. Is this game fair? What if they use multiplesof 3?

This problem allows you to introduce ideas of mathematical fairness. It is a useful context in which to focus on children's explanations. It is also a good practice in addition.#

A very useful resource from nrich to make children think "outside of the box" with their maths. Great for extending those who perhaps find maths quite straight forward. Thanks.
