The Nursery Rhyme Learning Library

The Nursery Rhyme Learning Library is a colourful collection of illustrated nursery rhymes presented as engaging PowerPoint slides for learning at home or in the classroom. It includes sixteen well-known rhymes with original colour illustrations that encourage discussion and reinforce understanding.

The library will help educators meet the following curriculum objectives:

• Use and understand recently introduced vocabulary during discussions about stories, non-fiction, rhymes and poems and during role-play. (EYFS)
• Learn to appreciate rhymes and poems and recite some by heart. (Year 1)

How are the rhymes organised?

Two zipped folders are included:
• Folder 1 presents each rhyme in four slides designed to help teachers introduce, read, discuss and teach it.
• Folder 2 contains four PowerPoints which can be used for revisiting learned rhymes. The folder also includes a printable PDF for displaying the rhymes as posters.
