An activity for the last lesson of term, In groups students have to make giraffes out of newspapers and other bits and bobs you have laying around. Let then have fun making them. Then judge them on things like, eyes, horns, green spots, etc. The lesson: If you do not know the objective, you will spend you time on the wrong activities!

worked really well with a year 11 group. Gave them 5 minutes to do their objectives and then 20 mins to create their giraffe. The majority of my marks in judging were down to how smart their objectives were, so the winning team was the one who had done this bit well.
