An engaging, student-led investigation into social inequality between places, comparing Jembatan Besi in Jakarta with Northwood in Irvine, California. Students become geographical researchers, using a detailed information dossier to investigate contrasting living conditions, employment, education, housing and the factors shaping inequality. Working in groups, students create five-slide presentations and their own one-page case-study handouts to share with classmates, building a valuable revision resource. The lesson develops AO2 analysis, geographical explanation, independent learning and evaluative judgement. Includes a PowerPoint lesson, editable research dossier, presentation instructions and case-study handout template. Ideal for a collaborative, enquiry-based A Level Geography lesson.
