This is the second of three lessons covering the structure and function of the mammalian kidney. It covers section 5.1.2 ci, ii and iii of the OCR Biology specification. It covers the ultrafiltration of blood in the bowman’s capsule, reabsorbtion in the PCT, the role of the loop of Henle and the reabsorbtion of water from the collecting duct.

The lesson includes a starter, full notes, a variety of student led activities and a fully differentiated summary at the end.
