A 10 question test on Plane isometric transformations, comprising: 5 questions on procedural calculations; 3 questions on reasoning and communicating mathematically; and 2 problem solving questions. At the end of the test there is an extension activity which will allow more able students to stretch themselves. This resource is ideal for either formative or summative assessment and can be used in lesson time as a topic assessment, starter or plenary activity or for homework or revision.

Topics include:
Reflection: reflect a simple shape in a given mirror line, and identify the mirror line from a shape and its image.
Rotation: rotate a simple shape clockwise or anti-clockwise through a multiple of 90° about a given centre of rotation.
Translation: use a column vector to describe a translation of a simple shape, and perform a specified translation.
Reflection: Identify a mirror line , or from a simple shape and its image under reflection.
Rotation: Identify the centre, angle and sense of a rotation from a simple shape and its image under rotation.
