Students are given three pictures and they have to figure out which one is the odd one out. Barac and First lady: the other two couples have remarried. clever visual starter - but I think it is so simple that they may well be finished in seconds. Can you add an extension activity such as thinking of other prominent couples who have remarried - or who are still married after many years together (the Queen springs to mind here.) Or they might have a question such as brainstorm qualities which might help a couple weather difficulties in life and stay strong together - which would be a nice 'learning from' experience to engage the pupils and enable them to think about their own experiences.
