In Organise Files in Drive, students use Google Drive to store, access, and share files in one central place.

Duration: 45-90 minutes

Organise Files in Drive is suitable for:

  • Key Stage 3
  • Key Stage 4
  • Post-16

Students use Docs and Drive.

By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:

  • Create and color-code folders in Google Drive to save class materials and assignments.
  • Create a file naming convention to easily find assignments and keep track of due dates.
  • Move related files into the appropriate class folder or sub-folder.
  • Share files and folders with a classmate and add to their own Drive.

The resource is video-based and features FREE, ready-to-use lesson plans, rubrics to enable teachers to evaluate a student’s work across a variety of skills and levels of proficiency (i.e. beginner, developing, accomplished, and exemplary) and a dashboard to show how each student is progressing.
