Othello A Level English Literature Presentation

This is a 73 slide presentation that includes a wide range of key quotes for each character as well as a plot summary, themes, context and uses of critical theory.

The quotes are divided into each key character (Othello, Iago, Desdemona, Roderigo, Cassio and Emelia). Each character is then split into quotes said by the character and those said about them. There is then a further section about the smaller characters in the play, i.e. Lodovico, Bianca and Brabantio.

As well as this, there is a section describing the areas when these themes are most prominent throughout the play. The section on context covers the ideas of Othello as a character, England and Venice and Cyprus at the time as well as the application of Aristotle’s theories of tragedy. Finally, there is a section about angles students can explore in regards to critical thinking, including several quotes by academics.
