This ppt explores Othello's reaction as he finally buckles under Iago's manipulation. There is an acting task at the beginning leading up to the section where he slaps Desdemona. Then students start to identify how his language reflects his state of mind. The main task is writing a monologue in Othello's voice, emulating the language and structures he uses. There is a differentiated sheet for the writing task that has several sentence starters and reminders about sentence varation.
