Wow! GCSE Physics / Science outstanding resource.
Great for the Force and motion topic. AQA Edexcel etc.
Recently used as part of a lesson awarded outstanding.
A card sort for a parachute jump that offers options for differentiation (cut vertically for a simpler experience!). Includes a resultant force diagram for each section (which you will find useful given recent exam questions over the last few years). The cards include pictures, resultant force, a force diagram, etc, etc!
As a bonus there is a starter to get the students thinking along the correct lines - a smaller card sort about a car reaching its maximum speed (try it - it works!!!).
Using these card sorts should facilitate rapid progress, but in case you have got some extra-quick students, I've added a brief question sheet as well.
For my lesson (which has worked for outstanding in a trial for someone else as well). We got the students to make parachutes (of different sizes) for a toy soldier. Carrier bag, swing bin liner, wheelie bin liner, etc! You know the one.
