An interactive ppt of the periodic table designed for mastery of nuclear decay equations.

The ppt is colour coded based on type of decay (Alpha / Beta). When you click on each element its decay equation appears on the ppt.

Intended use in class; ask students to choose an isotope from the periodic table, ask them to write down the decay equation on a miniwhiteboard before clicking on the element on the ppt to check their answer.

Can lead into discussions of decay chains.

Note: While the mass numbers given in the periodic table are sometimes off less common isotopes to ensure that there are a suitable number of beta emitters in the table.

This is for GCSE: Beta minus decay and alpha only
