A well structured PowerPoint that covers persuasive techniques within non-fiction texts. Outcomes are differentiated for ability.

The students cover the purpose of non-fiction texts and the techniques used to persuade the reader. They then go on to identify techniques used in a leaflet and provide examples. A challenge is also included for the higher ability pupils where they explain why the technique has been used and the effects it has on them as the reader.

This resource was originally written for a middle set year 9, but could easily be adapted.
