Pewter Casting Project Rubric - MarkSmithPro Preset

This is a ready-to-import MarkSmithPro preset for a pewter casting project. It is designed for D&T teachers assessing jewellery or small product outcomes where pupils move from design research through to casting and finishing.

The preset covers:

• Unit A: Research and moodboard
• Unit B: Design development
• Unit C: Making and finishing

Each section includes mark bands and feedback wording covering image research, annotation, design development, casting constraints, cutting accuracy, mould preparation, polishing, and final finish.

How to use it:

1. Open MarkSmithPro.
2. Import the .marksmith file from this download.
3. Add your class list.
4. Select the descriptors that best match each pupil’s work.
5. Export or print the feedback sheets.

This is not a project booklet or safety sheet. It is a MarkSmithPro project file, so it needs the free MarkSmithPro desktop app to open. I built it to make practical D&T assessment more consistent and to keep feedback focused on the actual project criteria.
