Just a little Pirate interactive plenary I've made. Can be used for literacy, topic, numeracy anything really.
Totally editable so you can add your own questions and multiple choice answers. Instructions are written in the notes down the bottom of the slides so hopefully nice and easy.
Please let me know what you think!
A robots/space themed plenary or starter activity for the IWB. The robots spit out a question for the children to answer, then the answer will appear in their tummy.
There are two robots, one green and one red for differentiated activities and at the end the robots get in their space rocket and shoot off to space!
Hopefully your class will enjoy it! Please leave a comment to let me know if you liked it or not.
Thanks and enjoy!
Very basic dominoes for Phase 2 and 3 tricky sounds. I plan on printing onto coloured paper (corresponding with Letters & Sounds so I don't mix them up!), then having out as continuous provision, and also to use for warm-ups to phonics sessions.
I've made these as I couldn&'t find what I wanted!
Cursive letters with sound buttons underneath.
On the other side the corresponding pictures. The big picture links to RWIé';s ditties for letter formation on singular sounds, the digraphs I've just put a picture which relates to the sound and in a smaller box Ié've added the picture of the Jolly Phonics action.
I hope these are useful to others, please send me feedback and let me know!
A selection of real and 'alien' pseudo words containing either the /ee/ /ea/ or /e-e/ grapheme. Alien words have an image of alien to assist preparation for the Phonics Screening.
Children can write on their sound buttons to help read the word.
There is one powerpoint for each new letter. Each introductory powerpoint:
Introduces the new letter, shows a picture mnemonic, demonstates correct letter formation then reinforces it with an initial sound game.
Also in the pack:
A powerpoint showing each letter in the set with a picture to help the children remember the sound;
A set of letter flashcards of all letters learnt so far
A 'what begins with....' game where the children have to select an object that begins with the specified letter.
Meet Alfie the Anteater, Ziggy the Zebra, and all of the other a to z animals in A to Z: My Alphabet Zoo! This book by Martha Jo Silvestro takes children on a wild romp with the animals-and will teach them a few things along the way! Children will delight in learning the letters as the animals themselves tell stories about who they are and where they come from. This fun, fantastical book combines pictures, stories, and adventure to teach your children about the alphabet and the animals that inhabit the world around us.
A to Z: My Alphabet Zoo is available for free online viewing here:
This bundle offers teacher and student guides for both the EYP and PYP levels, and they were written specifically to be used with A to Z: My Alphabet Zoo.
These guides will help students understand the alphabet while learning about animals at the same time.
