UK Phonics Based Reading Comprehension following Letters and Sounds Phase 4.

Help your kids gain confidence and fluency with Phase 4 Blends and Clusters with this fun, interactive clothes peg clip card set. This is perfect as a small group or independent activity in your Reception or Year 1 Settings (Kindergarden and Grade 1), or for use with children with Special Educational Needs.

I created this resource after searching for something similar to suit my own UK learners: all progression / structure within the document is taken from UK Government Publication “Letters and Sounds”, which organises children’s exposure to new phonemes in Phases and Sets. The document here follows this as closely as possible.

This bundle contains the following:

· Initial Blends with L – bl, cl, fl, gl, pl, sl

· Initial Blends with R – br, cr, dr, fr, gr, tr

· Other Initial Blends – sc, sk, sm, sn, sp, st, sw, tw

· Final Blends 1 – ft, lb, lf, lk, lp, lt, nt

· Final Blends 2 - mp, nk

· Final Blends 3 – nd, pt, sk, st, xt

· Three Letter Blends – Initial scr, shr, spr, str, thr & final nch

· Compound Words

· Polysyllabic Words

Each of the above packs are available individually, too, and contain 20 colour cards and 20 black and white versions. In total, that makes 180 colour cards and 180 black and white copies in this bundle!
