Pizza Mathematics is a fun adding and counting activity for children.
This exercise is designed to make maths fun as children can engage in cutting and counting while making their own pizza.
Here’s how it works:
- cut out the pizza base, toppings, sum cards and answer squares
- add the toppings shown on the sum cards to the pizza base
- complete the sum on the card and add the correct answer square to the card
Optional Tip: Laminate and use velcro stickers to stick the toppings to the pizza base
This activity is designed for counting up to 10 however, it can be modified. Simply write the sums of choice on the blank sum template cards, then print additional pizza bases and toppings to count to 20 and beyond.
