Poetic Responses to Sensory Stimulus - A start to writing a poem

This PPT assists students to start thinking like a poet using their senses. Student are read a series of Sensory Impressions. As they hear each one they write down a response . It may be a word, a phrase, or a sentence. They each response under the other as though they were lines of poetry creating a 15 line poem. At the conclusion of the process students think, pair and share before there are class discussion questions. A fabulous start to getting into poetry writing for all ages.
