Poetry Lesson - The Table (Year 8)

This lesson is part of a Year 8 poetry creative writing unit. The objective is to read the poem called The Table and use this as a model to write another poem. Here is an overview of the lesson:

• Prediction discussion
• Read the poem
• Poem questions
• Abstract and concrete noun definitions
• Guided creation of the new poem

This is likely to take longer than one lesson if you allow breathing room for the tasks.
