This poem is a great one for Key stage 3, particularly year 7 or 8.
It uses a lot of alliteration and adjectives to describe a ‘bogeyman’
New vocabulary is introduced through the poem, such as, ‘delectable’
I have included a question sheet which asks pupils to focus on alliteration as well as considering why ellipsis is used.
