
This “pop quiz” is one of the first activities that I do on the first day of school.
I give the students a few minutes to independently take the quiz. Then we “grade” the quiz, and they ask me questions about myself.
When we are done, I have the students create a T-chart on the back of their papers with true and false statements about themselves. This leads into the next activity where the students come up with two true statements about themselves, and the class has to determine which statement is false.
