This lesson covers:
•How to calculate power using E=P/t and P=VI followed by lots of calculation practice including multi-step equations
•What is a fuse, how does it work and fuse ratings. Followed by task to check student understanding and links to using the P=VI equation
•Calculating energy usage for appliances and why it is important followed by lots of calculation practice
•Mock energy bill broken down and how kWh are used to calculate a bill. (Although not on the spec, it’ll be a useful thing for students to learn and is an opportunity to practice another maths problem)
•Summary of all the equations learned the last 5 lessons and how they could be used in multi-step problems. Example given followed by 4 multi-step equations
