A revision lesson on the theme of Power in MLD and Macbeth. Made for mixed ability year 10 for revision (mock exams). Lesson consists of: Thunk style entry task, differentiated LO and key terms, questions on Power and Macbeth. Images relating to poem are shown - students must try to recall what they can. Reading of the poem (glossary and poem provided). Comparison questions (MLD and Macbeth) follow to prompt students to think of the similarities/ differences re: power. A writing response task (differentiated) with a model answer follows. Plenary = students must tweet what they’ve learnt (key words repeated on last slide to challenge more able students).
