Primary Writing - Text Examples

A bank of 21 text examples/ WAGOLL’s to be used/ shared with children when teaching a range of writing genres including: non chron reports, diary entries, letters, instructions, story writing, newspaper reports, recipe, setting description, recount, fact files.

These have been written with the writing and grammar curriculum objectives in mind and therefore include a range of features such as expanded noun phrases, conjunctions, subordination, speech marks, contractions, apostrophes for possession and sentence types.

These were written to link to particular topics such as Space, Castles, Ancient Egypt, Rainforests etc. but can be edited and adapted.

Suitable for Years 1, 2 and 3.
