**A discussion/starter activity for PSHE lessons or for Tutor Period. Ideally for KS3 and above, though could also be used for KS2. **

Help your pupils discover their ‘Little Happiness Ingredients’ and have a discussion around the activities they enjoy doing to improve their well-being. The worksheet then also asks pupils to plan activities over the following 7 days, to help them develop/maintain a habit of including deliberate leisure time in their days.

When exams are looming, you can ask them to focus on activities that take no more than 15 minutes to do, so that even when they are busy and stressed with revision, they can still find time to fit quick leisure activities into their days.

You will find more activities in the book I have co-authored with Elizabeth Wright (with Foreword by Kristján Kristjánsson): “Character Toolkit for Teachers: 100+ Classroom and Whole School Character Education Activities for 5-11-Year-Olds” Many of the activities are suitable for older children and even adults.
