A set of cards with different sums on that students must at first calculate and then place in order. Ideal activity for students to work in pairs. Can be adapted to be made more easy or more difficult. Could also be printed off big and each calculation given to each student and they have to get themselves in order. This relies on an understanding of the four operations with negative numbers but has a nice twist in that students must then arrange their answers in numerical order from smallest to biggest. If students can complete this task then they have well and truly boxed negative numbers off.

Nice idea which works with the mulitplcation, division, subtraction and addition of negative numbers, as well as the ordering of negative numbers.
