Love the way it introduces n squared into sequences and the use of observation to deduce the nth term! Leads to great discussion!

A simple resource with a lot of potential. Included on the document are several cards containing quadratic sequences with students required to find the nth term rule for each. This would be ideal to consolidate a series of lessons on this topic, as well as promoting paired/grouped work. To add an extra challenge, you could write all of the rules (answers) on the board as well as a few that are not on the cards, students then have to match the sequences to the rules, and any that are left over, they have to create the sequences for them to complete the set.
