A lesson introducing methods of investigating the distribution of organisms. Includes a research task on factors that affect distribution of organisms before explaining to students how to use a quadrat. Activity provided allows students to practice using a quadrat without leaving the classroom (perfect if being taught during the winter months) along with questions to encourage students to think about how to improve reliability. Exam question provided also has the mark scheme attached.
