The Racing Car Project is a hands‑on STEM challenge where primary or year 7 students design, build, test, and present their own model racing car. The car must:
Travel 3 metres
Carry at least 10 grams
Be powered by a balloon or elastic band
Be designed using scientific principles such as friction, weight, energy transfers, and aerodynamics
It’s completed in three phases, ending with a mini Science Fair–style presentation.
