Functions: Introduction, Inverse and Transformations Inquiry Activities is a set of three inquiry activities to introduce students to different concepts related to functions. Students are introduced to and create function machines. Students see what happens when the machine functions in reverse (inverse functions). Finally, students use a real-world application of transformations of functions to learn the relationship between functions and their transformations (NOTE: function transformation types such as translations and reflections are not specifically addressed, just introduced with this activity).
