Here are 12 pre-prepared reading activities to use with your Key Stage 3 learners. This resource covers a range of reading skills, including 8 sessions that are focused primarily on inference.

They are most effective when used with smaller groups of learners who need support with developing their reading, including retrieval and inference. In my experience, they have worked particularly well in Wales with pupils who have NRT scores of 80-94.
