Reading and Performing Rhythms

This resource enables learners to read, perform and compose using rhythmic notation. Each of the 3 lessons on this power point have starters, activities and the short scheme of work culminates in a group composition with marking criteria that can be tweaked according to your own grading system. Learners build confidence using notation and start to consider using other elements of music such as timbre, structure and dynamics to make their rhythmic composition more interesting.
