This is a lesson on renewable energy resources based on the new AQA Trilogy Specification.

The lesson covers biofuels, geothermal energy, solar power, tidal power, wind power, wave power and hydroelectric power.

The PowerPoint contains a lesson objective, graded success criteria, tasks to accompany each criteria, links to support learning and a 10 question plenary.

The A3 lesson map is to be used by the students during the lesson to aid note taking.

The back of the A3 lesson map contains a table to allow students to compare the different renewable energy resources.

I have also included a structured A3 lesson map that can be used to support weaker students.

The delivery of this can be adjusted depending on the group. I will be allocating each student to research a specific renewable resource. They will then take turns feeding this knowledge back to their home group and complete the comparison table together.
